Growing Up In The New Age - Marjolaine Ryley |
This
world is a funny place.
We
are always talking about how giant and massive it.
And
it's true. It's a quite a ginormous thing.
But
at the same time, it is a fairly tiny place.
We
are all connected. By a thought, a place, an event, by people.
Every
place we stumble across, every person we rub shoulders with adds to the
connections we make.
We
so often think that just because a person lives in another country across a
large body of water,
it
automatically makes them so different and foreign from us.
But
the truth of the matter is,
we
are all just people.
People
who need love, care, and affection.
People
who strive to find acceptance, to find friendship, to find connections to one
another.
We
are all different in the things we find enjoyable, the things that bring us
happiness.
The
way we are raised, and the things that we find important.
But
no matter where we are, we can always find those people that connect with
us.
That
value the same things we hold dear to our hearts.
That
humor the same things that make us laugh.
That
find the beauty in a painting or a lyrical melody to such a degree that it can
move us to tears.
It doesn't matter what language we speak, what color our skin is, our
mannerisms, or the way we dress.
People
are people.
We
just have to reach out and find them.
